C4 Ride Leader Tracker

Group/Ride Leader Tracking

During the last couple of club meetings we have worked with an idea proposed by Sarah that will help encourage members to step up and be recognized for their contribution of time in leadership roles during our main club rides.

I have embedded a Google form on the club website that will allow you to input the requested data so we can maintain a record of who volunteered when. Unless I find something that does what we need and is easier to maintain and for you the user to actually use, we will stay with this solution. Of course we can modify as needed later.

What this will allow us to do is give credit to those who volunteer to be a group ride leader at our primary rides on Wednesdays and Saturdays for our own Club Rides.

When does this start?
Labor Day week with the Wednesday Development Ride on September 6th.

Ride Captain Responsibility:
I will be asking the Ride Captain to let me know who were the ride leaders so I can verify the entries. All entries need to be verified or validated to be kept in the system. The Ride captain is the person that gives the overall pre-ride brief. Message me thru Facebook or other methods as soon as you can each week after the rides.

Who is this for?
You must be a current member to be a ride leader and thus have the benefits of doing so.

What does this mean to the members?
Each time you are a (verified) ride leader for one of the above listed rides, you will earn one hour/point. To show appreciation for stepping up and leading a group for the:

  • Ladies Pedaling Night
  • Wednesday Development Ride
  • Thursday BANJO Ride
  • Saturday Club Ride

The above items will count towards one volunteer point for each occurrence. Eight volunteer points within a one-year period can count towards:

  •  Extending your club membership for one year
  • Increasing your current club membership level for greater discounts at Hawley's Bicycle World
  • Discount coupons for the C4 Online Store. Note that the online store coupons do require that you be registered on the Club website.

Where can I find the form?
Here: http://www.crosscreekcyclingclub.org/Info/Ride-Leader-Form
In the beginning I will leave this page available to everyone. At some point or if some just start plugging in bogus info then we will make it required to be registered on the club website to use it.

Questions?
Please messgae Robert Havens directly thru Facebook, text message, or email. I will get back to you as soon as I can.
