Ladies and Gentlemen,

The WCCX #5 race has been cancelled.  There will be no race at Hobby Park on Sunday, January 20 in Winston Salem. SORRY. Due to the weather (threat of) the facility managers at Hobby Park have denied access to the park for safety reasons.  Attempts were made to move the race to BurMil Park but those were unsuccessful too.  The NCCX Team and Paul's Racing appologizes for any inconvenience.  The Winter Cup will end with the BurMil event.  It is not known how this will effect individual placings given some pax have not completed their 3 races.  Please pass this information on to any friends or list serves of racers that may be planning to attend the race Sudnay.  Series awards will be  mailed.  

In lieu of the race, those racing, and anyone else from C4 are invited to meet tomorrow at Pierro's on Haystreet at 530ish for a lunch get together. This should be late enough to allow everyone to get done what they need to tomorrow and allow all to sulk in misery of missing another opportunity to be cold, wet, and reacing VO2 max on a distant race course! We'll also have a preliminary discussion on the 2008 road season and do some initial planning. Please come join us! Look for Tom Brew, Kim O'Callaghan, Joe O'Callaghan and others!

Now, with that said,  that concludes the WCCX series. We'll have a finaly tally on places by Monday but it looks like we pulled a 5th or 6th pace as a team and took several top 10 positions! Look for the 2008-2009 schedule coming by the end of the month and remember there are 2 more cross races this February and they are right around the corner. We're looking to grow Team C4 participation particularly in our Women's and Junior men and women's teams and are getting a serious boost in our efforts with support from some key sponsors.
