Triangle Velo Series
===============
The 2008 Triangle Velo Criterium Series is being conducted this comming weekend and the following right outside of Hillsboro, NC (about 30 minutes north of Durham) at the Orange Country Race Track. This track is 600 meters long and features 19 degree banks - the closest thing you can get to track racing around! Series kicks off at 11:00 am Saturday and runs thru 330pm. Categories only list Cat 1,2,3,4 mens but in speaking with the organizes this week, they assured us that women can race in conjunction with men in their same categories and likewise the same for juniors.
As it stands now, C4 Racing has not made this an official race for the team but the interest is there and gaining. If you've got any interest in wanting to race, or go watch the race, please contact Noah Jordahl who will be racing Cat 3 men's. You can reach Noah at jnoahj@gmail.com.
Current Confirmed racing:
-- Noah Jordahl , Cat 3 Mens

Club Dues
========
It's Jan 2008 and that means that it is time to do 3 things: 1. get some miles in, 2. renew your USAC license, 3. Perhaps the most important - Pay your annual club dues!. The club relies on your $20-$25 membership (depending on individual or family) to help defray the operating costs, administration costs, and get something back to you all in the forms of organized rides, events and general club advancement.
The other thing that being current on club dues allows for you is to take advantage of some of the club's great discount programs from Pacific Labs, makers of Accellerade and Endurox, very deep discounts on Reynolds wheels, and allow you to take part in the Racing Team program where there are even greater discounts associated with the club and USAC membership.
There are several ways to pay your dues, simply fill out the attached annual due sheet and mail it to Robert, or meet us on a Saturday ride and hand the check to Robert, Bob, or myself, or you can bring the check and form to a club meeting. It's easy and I ask that you help support the club so that the club can help support you.

Rockingham Crit
============
So you're unsure about doing the Triangle velo race and say I'll wait until the next one? Well, on 10FEB is the next one. Come out to Rockingham just west of Fayetteville on 10FEB and enjoy some more high adventure speedway racing. Field limit of 75 riders per field. Field limit of 50 for cat 5 race. Registration opens at 8:30am and ends 15 minutes before each race. All USA cycling rules apply. All riders must fill out a standard USA Cycling release form and present it when registering. Promoter reserves the right to combine or cancel races. Races will NOT be held in wet conditions.
This is a very spectator friendly race and a great way to get your feet wet in racing as their will be a citizens/public class race where you do not have to be a registered USAC license holder to race. Come join us (see attached flyer). We'll be posting an email later next week looking to establish car pools and annotate who will be racing.
